Ms. Colleen Emond is in her second year of teaching at New Roots and has previously worked as an English teacher and literacy specialist in upstate New York, Memphis, Tennesseee, and in southeastern Wyoming. She is dually certified as an English teacher and a Literacy Specialist and also holds a B.S. in Psychology. Colleen's qualitattive study of teen pregnancy prevention and intervention programs has been published in the peer-reviewed American Journal of Sexuality Education (2.1). Her writing is also featured on SUNY Oswego's webpage as a recipient of the Dean's Writing Excellence Awrd for her Paper "Preservation of the Martyr: A Sociobiological Analysis of Morality."
